ThinkRx Cognitive Training for Adults Over Age 50: Clinician-Caregiver Partners in Delivery as Effective as Clinician-Only Delivery
292 adults ages 51–95
What Did Researchers Study?
Researchers compared clinician-only delivery with a clinician-caregiver partnership model for ThinkRx cognitive training among adults over age 50 with subjective memory or attention complaints.
What Did Researchers Find?
Both delivery methods produced significant pretest-to-posttest gains across six cognitive skills measured, along with self-reported improvements in mood, memory, cognitive efficiency, life application skills, and focus or attention. There were no significant differences between delivery methods on the cognitive skills measured.
The study compared two training delivery methods rather than a training group with a no-treatment control.
